Important instructions regarding disposal: Batteries may contain toxic
substances that cause harm to the environment. Therefore, it is imperative
that you dispose of the batteries according to the legal provisions in force.
Never dispose of batteries in normal household waste.
Never place the remote control on extremely hot or very wet surfaces.
5.3.2 Connecting the mains adapter

Connect the mains unit provided to the port marked
DC-IN

) on the back of
the DIGITRADIO 3. Then connect the power supply to the mains.
Ensure that the operating voltage of the power supply unit matches the mains
voltage before you insert it into the wall socket.
After establishing the mains connection for the first time, "
TechniSat Digital
Radio
" appears on the display. You can then select the operating language.
Using the
<
or
>
buttons on the remote control, select one of the available
languages and confirm the selection by pressing the
OK
button.
This will then be followed by an initial station scan via DAB+. Please refer to
the information in Section 5.4.1.
5.3.3 Connecting and aligning the telescopic antenna
The number and quality of the stations to be received depend on the reception
conditions at the installation location. Excellent reception can be achieved using the
telescopic antenna.

Screw the telescopic antenna to the

) and tighten so
as hand-tight, using the installation tool.

Align the telescopic antenna and extend it.
The exact alignment of the telescopic antenna is often important, especially at
the fringes of the DAB+ reception area. You can quickly find the location of the
nearest transmission tower online, by visiting “
www.dabplus.de
”.
Start the first scan at a window, pointing in the direction of the transmission
mast.
If the weather conditions are poor, DAB+ reception may be limited.
Do not touch the telescopic antenna during station playback. This could
reduce the reception and result in sound dropouts.
