General information
Product description / intended use
The
radio frequency smoke alarm 2
is used to
recognise fires early
and for local
acoustic alerting
in the private area and in the housing industry. –
It is not suitable for
applications above and beyond this.
The radio frequency smoke alarm 2 operates using a tested, permanently integrated long-
term lithium battery. – It can be muted by pressing the user key.
The high-quality smoke alarm (in the following referred to as SA) meets the latest technical
requirements. It provides an early warning of smouldering fires and fires with smoke
generation and thus represents a significant gain in safety. – This warning function is very
important as the sense of smell is inactive when you sleep. In order to retain this function,
you always need to ensure that, in the event of a fire, the smoke generated must be able
to reach the RWM in an unrestricted manner. –
The mounting locations must, under no
circumstances, be changed yourself!
Fans and ventilations systems with strong currents of air must be switched off when
sleeping, for your own safety, since otherwise the smoke generated may not reach the
RWM or reach it only with delay.
!
Under certain conditions, the radio frequency smoke alarm is not suitable for
warning people with a hearing impairment. - In this case please contact the
landlord or the house administration.
Target group
These operating instructions are for apartment tenants in whose apartment the radio
frequency RWM 2 is installed.
Safety instructions
•
The SA is supplied with a permanently installed battery with sufficient capacity for the
full period of use. –
Changing the battery is not necessary
and also
prohibited.
•
The RWM must not be opened, not immersed in water (risk of short circuit), not de-
stroyed and not disposed of the household waste.
Use of these operating instructions?
These operating instructions are a constituent part of radio frequency RWM 2. - Please
read the document carefully and retain for the entire service life of the device. If you move
house, then you should hand over these instructions to the next occupier.
