Installing the measuring capsule
1
Rinse the pipelines thoroughly.

Close the shut-off device before the connector.
3
Take precautions to ensure no devices connect-
ed to the pipeline are damaged (e.g. disconnect
boiler, remove fuses)

Empty the conduits.
5
Remove rosette / protective sleeve and sealing.
6
Rotate the measuring capsule with the disman-
tling spanner or impact screwdriver attachment
anticlockwise out of the connector.
7
Remove the old L-profile seal.
8
Clean the connector's sealing surfaces and the
measuring capsule's O-ring and check them for
damages.
9
Apply a thin layer of tap grease to the measuring
capsule's screw thread and small O-ring as well
as the L-profile seals.
10
Insert the new L-profile seal in the connector
- its flat surface must face upwards.

Place the measuring capsule into the connector
and tighten it
sturdily
using assembly spanner
(art no. 160001) with a handle until the metal
bearing surfaces have contact.

Slowly
bleed the conduits with opened tap
connections
.

Switch on the boiler or the fuses again.

Implement a function check.
15
Close tap connections and check the leak tight-
ness of the measuring capsule.

Carefully push the seal ring over the meter using
the assembly spanner until it engages. Optional:
Seal the measuring capsule and, if necessary,
the radio module with Techem adhesive seal.

Assemble the rosette and protective sleeves.

When retooling competitors’ meters, observe
the “competitors’ protective sleeves / ro-
settes” instructions.
Hood segment and radio module
The hood segment of the measuring capsules or
the radio module are engaged in the meter housing
and are protected with the enclosed seal ring after
assembly.

water meter is maintenance-free for the duration of
use.
Disposal

When no longer used, Techem will dispose of
all the devices properly.

Techem Energy Services GmbH herewith declares
that the radio module data III and the radio module
radio 3 meet the basic requirements and relevant
regulations of guidelines of Directive 1999/5/EC
(R&TTE).
