Connection of temperature sensors
The temperature sensors are either installed in immer-
sion sleeves or direct dunking for new installations in
pipes
≤
25 mm. Out-flow and return flow sensors must
be removable at any time. Please ensure (e. g. when
insulting pipes).
Handle the temperature sensors carefully! The sensor
cables are provided with coloured type labels – red the
sensor for the high temperature, blue the sensor for the
low temperature. When installing the temperature sen-
sors, feed the sensor cables through the cable entries
and connect to terminals 1-5, 6-2 / 3-7, 8-4. Then press
it into the strain relief. In order to be able to lock upper
section again with the lower part, a cable length should
be considered of about 100 mm as reserve.
When assembling the two sensors, act as follows:
1
Unscrew the screwed sealing plug from the ball
valve, T-piece or connector.
2
Place an O-ring from the enclosed set on the assem-
bly pin. The second O-ring is a spare part.
3
Screw the O-ring with the assembly pin into the
sealing plug bore hole.
4
Place the O-ring in its final position using the other
end of the assembly pin.
5
Put the assembly pin over the temperature sensor
with the sleeve end as far as it will go.
6
Clasp the temperature sensor with both halves of
the plastic screw directly over the assembly pin.
Press both halves together so that both pins from
one half fit in the bore holes in the other half of the
plastic screw.
7
Remove the assembly pin from the temperature
sensor.
8
Place the temperature sensor with the plastic screw
in the bore hole of the sealing plug and tighten it
sturdily
.

Connecting the volumetric flowmeter
1
Connect reed switch cable to terminals 10 and 11.
2
Press the cable into the tension relief rail.

volumetric flowmeter connections
If using a three-core reed switch cable, the yellow cable
is not connected. The polarity of the two other cables is
at will.
Cable extension
Use Techem wall-mounted socket (article no. 180 650)
for cable extension and follow the respective assembly
instructions.
Supply voltage
A 3 V DC lithium battery is fitted in the standard version
with up to 12 years lifetime. 24 V AC or 230 V AC mains
units can also be used and can be modified or fitted
retrospectively at any time.
Battery module connection (standard)
1
Press the battery supply line into the opening at the
top of the lower part in order to avoid damaging it
when mounting the upper part of the calculator.
2
Plug the plug into the adapter board.
!
Used batteries must be disposed of at suitable
collecting points.
