1 onion, peeled and sliced
Barbecue sauce
Method
1.
Place the steak mince, onion, breadcrumbs, barbecue seasoning, ketchup and
mustard into a bowl and mix together. Season generously.
2.
Divide the mixture into 2 and shape into burgers.
3.
Preheat the Burger Maker for a couple of minutes until the green light comes on.
Position the drip tray.
4.
Brush each side of the burger with a little olive oil and place 2 burgers into the
Burger Maker. Close the lid and cook for 3 - 4 minutes until the burgers are nicely
charred and piping hot. Keep warm.
5.
Brush onion slices with olive oil and place in the Burger Maker.
6.
Split the bread rolls and warm in the Burger Maker for about 1 minute.
7.
Fill each roll with salad leaves and a burger, top with onions and barbecue
sauce.
Tip
Divide the mixture into 4 for smaller burgers and reduce the cooking time to 3 minutes.
Burgers can be assembled, wrapped and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days before use or
frozen for up to 3 months, defrost before use.
Caribbean Quorn Burgers
Makes:
4 burgers
Ingredients
150g Quorn mince, defrosted if frozen
100g red onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
25g breadcrumbs
50g carrot, grated
1 tbs Jamaican jerk seasoning
1tbs tomato puree
3tbs fresh coriander, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
Olive oil
To serve

Method
1.
Place the Quorn mince, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, carrot, jerk seasoning,
tomato puree and coriander into a bowl. Mix together and add sufficient egg to
bind together.
2.
Divide the mixture into 4 and shape into burgers.
3.
Preheat the Burger Maker until the green light comes on. Position the drip tray.
