3.4.5 Learn Tab
Touch the Learn tab (Figure 12) to configure the Learn settings. Start with the default setting of 5 crimps while
you are gaining experience with the process. You can lower it to 3 crimps when you are confident in your
process and the terminals you are using. After you enter production, increase the number of Learn crimps to
improve the statistical analysis of the crimp process.

Auto Accept Good Learn Crimps:
All learned crimps are automatically Accepted as Good. You do not have
to acknowledge the CQM II after every learned crimp.
Add Accepted Learn Crimps to Production:
Each Accepted Learn crimp is counted in the total and batch
counts.
During the Learning process, you must evaluate each crimp and ensure that it meets your acceptance criteria.
The CQM II starts fully analyzing crimps when it is in Production Mode.
If Crimp Height Monitoring is enabled, Crimp Height is evaluated during each Learn crimp. When a crimp falls
outside of the tolerance, you are notified and that crimp is not used for learning.
