The machine steps (see Step Mode button in Figure 10) are as follows:
1. The grip jaws close.
2. The footswitch LED on the operator interface will light, indicating that the footswitch may be pressed to
cycle the terminator. The terminator may also be cycled in jog mode. The terminator does not have to be
cycled to continue in step mode.
3. The chop blade will close. This opens the wire cut blade.
4. The grip jaws will transfer to the right to place the wire into the wire cut blades.
5. The chop blade will open which will close the wire cut blade, cutting the wire.
6. The grip jaws will open, releasing the wire.
7. The grip jaws will return to the termination position.

The step mode is intended to verify the complete function of the DCC unit so the wire will be cut even if the CQM indicates
the crimp passed analysis.
