To record at 48X speed, the drive must be connected to the computer's USB 2.0
port. If the drive is connected to a standard USB 1.1 port, the maximum record
speed will be 4X.
To record at your drive’s maximum speed, you must use media rated for that speed.
1. Check to see if there is enough space left on the disc including the lead in and
lead out for each session.
1. A buffer underrun occurred. Either select a slower speed or select using Buffer
Underrun Protection in your software.
2. Disable all other functions and applications that could interrupt the stream of
information.
3. Make sure that the media does not have any fingerprints, dirt or scratches
on the surface.
4. Check to see if the CD-RW already has data written on it.
Erase or format the CD-RW.
1. To get sound from the veloCD’s headphone jack, you must play back your audio
disc in analog mode. Check that the input settings in your audio software are
enabled to allow analog playback.
1. See if you can read the disc in another CD-ROM player.
Directory information could be corrupt.
2. Make sure that you closed or finalized the session.
1. Shut down the computer and power off the drive, then power on the drive
and use the eject button.
2. If everything failed, use the emergency eject hole. Use the supplied emergency
ejector pin by pushing it in the emergency hole in a steady manner until the
tray is released.
1. Make sure the drive is properly connected to a "live" outlet using the supplied
power cable or try reconnecting the cable.
