Mac OS:

Close all open applications including anti-virus software.

Go to your hard drive icon.

Open
Applications

Find and open
Utilities

Double click on
Disk Utilities

In the upper left window highlight “ … TDK Trans-It … ”
7.
Select
Volume Format
and name the volume.
8.
Click on
Erase
in the tool bar at the top of the window.
Can I password protect my Trans-It?
Your Trans-It may have been supplied with a pre-installed password security utility.
I lost the password for my Trans-It. What can I do?
You will need to re-format the drive. All files stored on the drive will be lost.
Why don't files transfer to/from my Trans-It faster?
Your computer's USB ports may be USB 1.1 rather than USB 2.0. Maximum transfer rates are only possible when your
Trans-It is connected to a USB 2.0 port. USB 2.0 ports are approximately 10 times faster than USB 1.1 ports.
Can Trans-It be affected by a virus?
If you save a virus-infected file on Trans-It, the drive can be infected. The virus-infected file could then infect other
computers you use with the drive. To avoid this issue, regularly scan your PC with anti-virus software. Some Trans-It drives
may be supplied with integrated anti-virus software that you can also use for protection.
Can I use Trans-It with a non-powered USB hub or the USB port on my Mac keyboard?
No, Trans-It, like other USB flash drives, requires more power than those devices would be capable of supplying. Use
Trans-It with an internal USB port or powered hub that supplies 500mA.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This product, exclusive of bundled software (referred to herein as “Product”) if defective in materials or workmanship and returned
postage prepaid with proof of purchase within 1 year to the appropriate address below, will be replaced free of charge with either new or
reconditioned Product. If the Product is no longer available, then it may be replaced with product determined by TDK to be of similar
value and performance.
Bundled Software for additional applications and any other software is supplied on an “AS IS” basis, and without any express or implied
representations or warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title
and non-infringement. Please refer to any documentation included with such software for your rights and obligations .
TDK does not warrant that the operation of the Product will be secure from unauthorized access, uninterrupted or error free. This
Product is intended for consumer use and is not warranted for commercial use. This Limited Warranty does not apply to defects
resulting from (1) use with defective or incompatible software or hardware; (2) improper installation, operation, or maintenance ; (3)
misuse, negligence, abnormal, or unusually heavy use or unusual physical or electrical stress; or (4) unauthorized modification or
attempted repair.
TDK MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. To the extent that any implied warranties nevertheless apply, such warranties shall be limited
to the duration of this warranty. PRODUCT REPLACEMENT IS THE SOLE OBLIGATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY. THIS WARRANTY
EXPRESSLY EXCLUDES INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES TO RECORDED DATA
IN ANY FORM, CAUSED BY USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS PRODUCT. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts, or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these may not apply to you. TDK’S LIABILITY UNDER ANY LEGAL
THEORY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED ITS PURCHASE PRICE. This warranty gives
