Recipe
You will need:
100 g sugar
2–3 tbsp salt
1.4 l water
150 ml concentrated washing-up
liquid
12 ml glycerin
Tips:
Hard or chalky tap water causes soap to
cling in wash ing-up liquid. It is better to
use distilled water (e.g. from a chemists’).
Washing-up liquids with a high percent -
age of surfactant tend to work best. This
can often be found in American brands
of washing-up liquids.

We tested many recipes in trying to create particularly large and stable soap
bubbles. This is our favourite!
Start the sugar solution: Warm 200 ml of water in a pot. Stir in the sugar and

salt until the crystals have completely dissolved.
In another container, mix the washing-up liquid with 200 ml water (
not
the

previously warmed water).
Pour the washing-up liquid solution into the pot with the sugar water.

Then add the remaining litre of water and the glycerin and stir carefully
(without producing too much froth).
Let the whole solution sit and infuse for approx. 2 hours – finished!
