Like other Network Switches, TBus devices will not deliver multicast traffic unless it receives a
request for that multicast stream. The delivery of such requests requires an IGMP Querier on the
network and that the Network Switches are configured to forward IGMP Reports towards the
NV-ER1816i.
If you are unable to perform this Switch configuration, then NVT recommends you instead manually
configure the NV-ER1816i to generate an IGMP Report for each multicast camera. (See below.)
If your network has no IGMP Querier and you are unable or unwilling to perform this manual configu-
ration, you may instruct the NV-ER1816i to generate its own IGMP Queries. Such Queries are outside
the IGMP specification, may cause un-desired network operation, and are not recomended by NVT.
