- During operation or transportation only the operator is permitted to be
on the tractor.
- Children should not be allowed to play near or on the cutter, whether it is
in operation, being transported or in storage.
- Survey the terrain completely before starting to cut. Clearly mark
dangerous spots or obstacles.
- Use appropriate speed for the terrain or for the paths to be travelled.
- Use personal protection equipment.
- Use appropriate clothes and footwear. Avoid long or tight clothing which
can become entangled in moving parts.
- Never operate without the
safety devices
of the machine.
- Take care when coupling the device with the tractor.
- When raising or lowering the cutter ensure that there are no persons or
animals close by.
- Be aware of the width of the equipment when negotiating narrow spaces.
- Whenever un-hitching the cutter, whether in a fied or indoors, make sure
it is on firm and level ground. Ensure that it is properly supported.

Transporting on a Public Road
Transportation over long distances by road must be done following these
safety instructions:
- Use adequate ramps to load and unload the machine. Do not attempt
to load on a a slope as serious accidents coud occur.
- When loading is done with a crane, attach the hoist at the appropriate
points.
- Ensure that the cutter is adequately secured.
- Use sufficient fastenings (ropes, chains, cord, etc...) to immobilize the cutter
during transport.
- Check the condition of the cargo after the first 8-10 kilometres of the
journery, then at 80-100 kilometre intervals check to ensure that the
fastenings have not become loose. Check the load more frequently on
bumpy roads.
- Always be alert. Pay attention to headroom clearance, especially when
passing underneath electricity cables, viaducts, etc...
- Always check applicable laws regarding height and width limits for loads.
If necessary, use flags, lights and reflectors to alert other motorists.
