Recommendations
Adjustments and operations
Before starting working, check the conditions of all parts and retighten nuts and bolts,
especially the ones from the disc gangs. A loose disc gang may damage the axles and
other fixation components.
Lubricate all grease fittings appropriately. (See lubrication instructions on pages 41
and 42).
Operations - Important points
• Retighten nuts and bolts after the first day of work and check the conditions of
all pins and cotter pins. Then, retighten every 24 operating hours.
• Special attention should be given to the disc gangs, retightening daily during the
first week of use. Then, retighten periodically.
• Carefully observe the lubrication intervals.
• The correct tire inflation is important; keep the same pressure on every tire.
(52
PSI).
• Choose a gear that allows the tractor to maintain certain power reserve, ensuring
against unforeseen efforts.
• Speed is relative to the tractor gear and can only be determined by local conditions.
We adopted an average 08 to 10 km/h, which is not advisable to overcome to
maintain service efficiency and avoid possible damages to the equipment.
• Before maneuvering the headboards, activate the hydraulic cylinder gradually
to lift the disc gangs.
• The harrowed soil should always stay on the left hand side of the operator.
• Remove pieces of wood or any object that may attach in the disc blades.
• The harrow activation to open or close the gangs must be done gradually, being
the tractor moving.
• Do not check possible leaks with your bare hands, because the high pressure
can cause body injury. Use cardboard or other suitable object.
• Use a tractor with enough power to pull the equipment.
• During working, do not maneuver to the right, because the angle formed by the
disc gangs start to transmit great effort to the equipment, overloading the traction
components.
• Relieve the control valve pressure before disconnecting the quick couplers and
when doing any verification in the hydraulic circuit.
• During working or transportation, the presence of passengers on the tractor or
equipment is not allowed.
• As previously mentioned, the harrow has several settings. However, only the
local conditions can determine the best adjustment thereof.
