TOWED VERTICAL MIXER
Self loading back shovel
•
Shovel : This is a sheet metal structure and it is here that the mix is
placed. It is worked by two hydraulic cylinders that are controlled from
the control set situated at the front part of the mixer which is then
operated from inside the cab. The raising speed of the self loading
shovel can be regulated from the control panel.
1. Move the mixer to the loading area.
Before any movement with the mixer always check that there
are no people or obstacles.
2. Lower the self loading shovel to the lowest possible position.
Before lowering the shovel check that no one is in within the
working area behind the mixer.
3. Load the shovel with the appropriate machinery.
Whenever the shovel is being lowered for loading, the tractor
driver must ensure that the auger is in the stop position
The mixer should be handled by only one person, the tractor
driver, who will coordinate the actions of other people or
machines should any intervention be necessary.
4. When the shovel is full, raise it up until it meets the tub. Gravity will
cause the silage to fall inside. Repeat 3, 4 and 5 until the tub is filled.
5. To check the weight of the silage in the tub this should be tightly closed,
if not the weigh scale may give an incorrect reading
6. The shovel should be cleaned before filling with other products
The cleaning operation should be carried out with both the
tractor and the mixer stopped. The person who does the
cleaning must have the keys in their possession until the
operation is finalised.
7. Once loading is finished, raise the shovel to its resting position.
3.3. HOW THE SHREDDERS WORK AND HOW TO USE THEM
The shredders are made up from circular metal sections that penetrate
into the interior of the tub and allow the degree of shredding of the products
that form the mix to be controlled, by retaining them close to the auger
blades. .
