STARTING AND DRIVING
87
Good driving practices
Always use only one leg (right) to op-
erate brake and accelerator.
Avoid frequent brake application
which can cause overheating of
brakes.
Slow down the vehicle while travel-
ling in cross winds to get better con-
trol over the vehicle.
Make sure that vehicle is completely
stationary before you attempt to shift
in reverse gear.
Drive slowly on wet roads.
Tips for obtaining better perfor-
mance
Always maintain the specified tyre pres-
sure before a long trip. Vehicle running
with low tyre pressure will consume
more current and can have effect on
mileage.
Extending your driving range:
1.
Make sure that the parking brake is
released before start of the drive.
2.
Always drive car with only right foot,
avoid using both legs together while
driving.
3.
Always drive in D mode for better
mileage as power consumption in S
mode is higher due to high torque.
4.
By anticipating and applying gradual
brake you will ensure the car batter-
ies are recharged.
5.
Use air condition with desired level of
cooling set during drive.
6.
Make sure the vehicle is charged
overnight depending on driving pat-
tern and battery change is below
threshold level for one time in three
days.
7.
General points such as no extra
weight can be taken into considera-
tion.
