5 Press the
REC/PAUSE
key to put the unit in
record standby. The key flashes red and an
OVERDUB
pop-up appears on the screen.
6 Use the wheel to turn the “
OVERDUB
” item
ON
(highlighted in inverse).
7 Press the
REC/PAUSE
key again. Playback of
the file selected in step 1 and recording of a
new file starts simultaneously, so you can start
singing or playing along with the prerecorded
music immediately.
8 Press the
STOP/HOME
key to stop recording.
NOTE
The mixed signal is recorded as a new file. The
•
original playback file is not erased.
By recording repeatedly in OVERDUB mode, you can
•
use the unit to overdub multiple parts.
If you reduced the playback sound balance in step 3
•
above before overdubbing, when you play back the
newly created audio file, its volume will be rela-
tively quiet compared to when monitoring during
recording. In this case, use the MIX B key
to maximize the playback level.
