5. USING THE CONTROLLER
5.1 FIRST INSTALLATION
These are the basic steps to start up your controller. References to certain
sections of the manual are mentioned to step directly to the parameters'
adjustment chapters.
1- Connect the PSFS-1 module according to the wiring diagram enclosed
with the manual :
a) Connect the PSFS-1 to the weighing hopper’s actuator.
b) Short-circuit the 2 DIR terminals of the PSFS-1.
c) Plug the wall transformer in a 115VAC source.
The scale valve should now open. If it does not open, refer to the
troubleshooting guide
at the end of the manual.
2- Connect the controller, the LCT and the TRB modules as shown in the
wiring diagram:
a) Set the ID numbers of each module (s. 5.8.4.1).
b) Remove or lift the cover from the LCT and from TRB modules.
c) Power up the modules.
d) Make sure all loads connected to the TRB modules
operate correctly : activate each relay manually by using the
switches.
The controller should now be working properly. The red lights located
inside the LCT and in TRB module with the ID#3 should be flashing
regularly. If the controller does now work or if the lights do not flash,
refer to the
troubleshooting guide
at the end of the manual.
3- Adjust the
Date and Time
(s. 5.4).
4- Enter the
Installer Password
(03-05-14 by default) to access the in-
stallation menu (s. 5.8.1).
5- Set the main settings of the controller in the "
1.Settings"
menu from
the installation menu (s. 5.8.2).

6. MANUAL MODE
A manual mode allows the user to activate or deactivate the controller
outputs.
Select the desired house from the main menu using the up and down-
arrow keys then press the right-arrow key.
Press the down-arrow key to select the "
6. On/Off
" menu then press
the right-arrow key. The status of the selected house flashes on the
display.
Select the output you want to control manually amongst the following:
OUTPUT AUGER (HOUSE 1 ONLY)
Select
"On"
to manually activate the output auger of house 1,
"Off"
to manually stop the output auger of house 1. Select
"Auto"
to return
to the automatic mode.
FIRST BIN AUGER OF HOUSE 1
Select
"On"
to manually activate the bin auger of house 1,
"Off"
to
manually stop the bin auger of house 1. Select
"Auto"
to return to the
automatic mode.
SCALES' VALVE
This function allows opening and closing manually the valve of each
scale in the case where no manual control switch is located on your
PSFS-1 module.

Accessible if a scale with valve is enabled.
Auto:
The scale valve is automatically con-
trolled by the controller.
Open / Close:
The user can manually open or close
the valve of the scale. The controller's
feed cycles are bypassed while the
valve is controlled manually.
