Calibration Check
To make sure the UV-Smart is calibrated correctly, you
may perform the following procedure from time to time:
1. Place the UV-Smart in a shaded area or in a place out
of direct sunlight.
2. Press the Mode button to take a reading.
3. UV-Smart should read “0” for UVA and “0.0” for UVB.
If the UV-Smart does not read “0” for UVA and “0.0” for
UVB, reset the unit as follows:
Resetting the Unit
1. Place UV-Smart in a shaded area
2. Press the Mode button 1 time.
3. Press and hold the “H” button for more than
2 seconds.
All symbols will appear on the display, then disappear.
UV-Smart has been reset and is ready for use.
Replacing the Battery
If batteries are low, the display will show “Lo.”
Replace with new batteries. Remove the battery cover.
Replace old battery with new one. Insert battery
positive (+) side up (facing you). Slide the cover back
into place. After batteries are inserted, the display will
show 12:00 am (you will need to reset the clock).
