Installing an internal DAT
tape drive
In this chapter:

Please refer to “ Installing an external DAT tape drive ” on page 19, if you
are installing an external DAT tape drive.
It is important to ensure that you connect your drive to a USB 2.0
port. The drive will work on a USB 1.1 port but performance will Note:

Prepare mounting bay
You need one industry-standard, 5¼-inch bay in which to install the DAT
tape drive.
To avoid personal injury or damage to the server or
tape drive, ensure that the server is disconnected
