The P-I feature allows to find the best de-interlacing mode for different video formats
and sources. Please use the P mode for film related footage only.
Close and save this menu step by pushing the

key once.
This feature may be helpful to adjust the processing of de-interlacing regarding to the type of footage.
Still picture of an ODD field from a 1080i signal, shows 540 lines of
content only
De-interlacer in iSport mode. In each odd and even field all the lines are
doubled to build a frame. Fast processing with half vertical resolution in
each displayed frame. Good for fast moving images.
De-interlacer in iFilm mode. The odd and even field of a frame build a
frame, processed with adaptive de-interlacing filter, covering four fields.
Slower processing with full vertical resolution in each displayed frame.
De-interlacer in sF mode. A compromise mode, melting the odd and
even field to be a frame. Shows jaggies when parts of the image moves.
Medium processing with full vertical resolution in each displayed frame.
Note:
Using the iSport mode, the displayed images may have flicker at horizontal edges,
cause the content is only in one of the two fields (odd or even) visible.
Note:
Using the iFilm mode, the processing needs more time regarding the four field adaptive
de-interlacing. The displayed images may be later as in the other processing modes.
Note:
Using the sF mode, the displayed images may have jaggies at vertical edges, cause
the content may be moved to a new geometrical position.
