6.1
Adjustment of the belts tension

The adjustment of the transmission drive belts tension is done with the machine turned
off and the vehicle engine switched off. Refer to Fig. 4. The optimal tension of the belts –
under the pressure of 100N (10kG) the belt bends 1.5 - 2.5 cm. The successive activities
need to be carried out in the following manner:
1.
First, loosen the bolts holding the transmission
2.
Remove the belt transmission shield,
3.
Check the condition and tension of the V-belts (replace the damaged ones with new),
4.
Loosen the nut (1),
5.
Tighten the bolt (2) checking the tension of belts,
6.
Secure the bolt with the lock nut,
7.
Tighten the nut (1),
8.
Install the metal transmission shield,
9.
Tighten the transmission bolts.
ATTENTION!!!
To ensure the correct performance of the transmission, tighten the belts
simultaneously for each side.
