Group Settings (Advanced
Menu)
Note: Scan group features may not be
available or modifiable on your radio.
Configuring Scan Groups
You can modify the mix of channels in your radio’s scan
groups in the following ways by:
■
Removing channels.
■
Adding new channels.
■
Altering the characteristic of a channel (for example,
setting a channel as a priority channel).
Scan groups can be modified using the advanced menu.
Before modifying a scan group you need to understand
the various types of channel membership status:
■
Y:
The channel is currently a member of the group.
■
N:
The channel does not belong to the current
group.
■
P1
: The channel is the first priority channel.
■
P2
: The channel is the second priority channel.
■
T:
The channel is the default transmit channel for the
group
.
To modify the status of a channel in a scan group:

Long press the menu key to enter menu mode (if the
radio displays a submenu option, press the clear key
to enter the main menu).

Scroll through the main menu options using the
arrow keys until
ADV SETTINGS
is displayed.

Scroll through the main menu options using the
arrow keys until
PROGRAM GROUP
is displayed.
