E2000
Input socket for the
E2000
remote control receiver
(included in the optional
FBS-VSP
remote control set). If
the receiver is connected, the
VSP 1250 R
can be
controlled remotely when used outside a
system.
Note:
The
E2000
must not be connected if the
VSP 1250 R
is connected to a
system via
R
LINK
.
R
LINK
Control interface for connecting the
VSP 1250 R
to other
devices (e.g. the
SR 1535 R
surround receiver or
DD 1535 R
surround decoder) using the
R
LINK
control
system.
If this interface is used, the
VSP 1250 R
can be incorporated
into a
B
home cinema system, and can be remote-
controlled using the
F6
system remote control handset.
Note:
If the
VSP 1250 R
is to work properly in
combination with a
B
surround receiver
(
SR 1535 R
) or decoder (
DD 1535 R
), the
equipment must be fitted with a certain minimum
version of the software. For more information on
this, please refer to the chapter entitled
'Specification'
at the end of these operating
instructions.
Mains socket
The mains cable is plugged into this socket.
DVI OUT
Digital DVI video output for connection to DVI video
monitors.
The DVI monitor must support the HDCP copy
protection process, otherwise the
VSP 1250 R
will not produce a picture on the monitor.
HDMI OUT
Digital HDMI video output for connection to HDMI video
monitors.
HDMI inputs
HDMI inputs for connection to HDMI source devices.
The
VSP 1250 R
supports devices with all SMPTE
resolutions up to 1080p.
Note:
The HDMI sockets of the
VSP 1250 R
are
designed to accept
B
screw-fitting HDMI
cables. The screw-lock ensures that the cables
are firmly seated. They therefore cannot come
loose, guaranteeing optimum transfer quality
without distortion over long periods.
Setting up the machine:
Carefully unpack the machine and store the original
packaging materials carefully. The carton and packing
are specially designed for this unit and will be needed
again if you wish to move the equipment at any time.
Please be sure to read the safety notes in these
instructions, and observe all the information regarding
setting up the machine.
If the unit gets very cold (e.g. when being transported),
condensation may form inside it. Please do not switch it
on until it has had plenty of time to warm up to room
temperature, so that any condensation evaporates
completely.
Before placing the unit on a sensitive surface, please
check the compatibility of the lacquer and the unit’s feet
at a non-visible point.
The
VSP 1250 R
should be set up on a rigid, level base.
Make sure that the machine is absolutely stable in its
installed position.
It should be set up in a dry, well-ventilated site, out of
direct sunlight and away from radiators. It must not be
located close to heat-generating objects or devices, or
anything which is heat-sensitive or highly inflammable.
Make sure that cooling air can flow freely to and from the
unit: the cooling slots in the case must not be covered or
obstructed.
Any heat build-up will shorten the life of
the unit, and could be a source of
danger.
If you encounter problems when setting up and
using the
VSP 1250 R
for the first time,
remember that the cause is often simple, and
equally simple to eliminate. Please refer to the
chapter of these operating instructions entitled
'Trouble-shooting'
.
