Tuner
General information
The basic tuner functions can be controlled using the
buttons on the
F6
system remote control, or directly
using the buttons on the machine’s front panel.
Seldom required special functions are controlled using a
menu system (see section
'
Special tuner functions
'
).
The
PT 820 M
features a total of 60 spot station
memories (presets). Each preset stores the station’s
frequency together with the tuner settings (WIDE /
NARROW, MONO / STEREO, ATTENUATOR etc.) (see
section
'
PRESET menu
'
).
A station stored in a PRESET can be called up very
conveniently using the
/
buttons, or directly by
entering a preset (memory) number using the numeric
buttons.
First the tuner must be selected as the current listening
source by pressing the
button on the
F6
remote
control handset, or the
button on the machine’s
front panel.
Note:
In tuner mode the screen constantly shows the current
time of day in the top left-hand corner, e. g.:

Selecting a preset
Press the

reach the desired preset.
This only works if you have already stored the stations
you wish to use as PRESETS (see section

).

In the illustration shown alongside the buttons marked

“ are those which are required for remote control
of the tuner. None of the other buttons has any effect on
the pre-amplifier or power amplifier.
Selecting the tuner as listening source
Selects the
PT 820 M
’s integral tuner as the
current listening source. The screen briefly
displays the message

.
The standard tuner display then appears. All
remote control commands are now passed
on to the tuner.
If the system is switched off, briefly pressing
the
button switches it back on
automatically.
