GND (Earth connection)
Earth connection for analogue disc players (if a phono
module is fitted).
AUX ( PH ) INPUT
Universal pre-amplifier input; can be converted into a
Phono input for analogue disc players by installing an

With MM phono module fitted:

Note:
The phono module can be adjusted accurately to the
specification of your pick-up by means of code switches
on the circuit board. The calibration process is described
in the instructions supplied with the phono module.

player or

DVD player.
IN / OUT TAPE 1

When you connect a recorder, the recorder’s

PT 820 M
.
LINE OUT
Pre-amplifier output. It is designed to be connected to
the
LINE IN
input sockets of the
PA 820 M
power
amplifier.
If your system includes a
DD 820 M
surround decoder,
these inputs should be connected to the
PT

FM ANT - Aerial input
The
PT 820 M
features a 75
Ω
aerial input marked
FM ANT
, which is suitable both for standard domestic
aerials and also for cable connections.
The
PT 820 M
is supplied with a right-angled aerial plug
for connecting the aerial system.
Note:
The simple wire aerial supplied is only an emergency
item, and is not capable of delivering high-quality recep-
tion. We always recommend that you connect the
machine to a permanently mounted domestic aerial or
cable aerial system.
RC IN (E 2000)
Input socket for a supplementary
E 2000
RC receiver,
which is available as an optional accessory.
An additional remote control receiver is required if you
wish to control the system from an adjacent room, or if
the system is set up in a concealed location.
