Ventilation Duct
The duct between cooker hood and unit should be as short and straight as possible to obtain a good capacity.
The duct must be of a non-flammable material. Spiro ducts (steel) are highly recommended, but other duct
qualities approved for such use can be applied for flexible connection to the cooker hood. The duct must be
accessible for changing or cleaning (see chapter "Maintenance and cleaning").
Duct runs installed in cold loft space must be insulated to avoid condensation. Remember do insulate all duct
fittings well.
NOTE! Take care not to damage the ducts during the installation. Smashed ducts, insufficient fixing or
insulation etc. will reduce the efficiency and may lead to water leakage caused by condensation.

Electrical Installation
Electrical installations need to be made by authorised installer and in correspondence with
regulations in force.
The Systemair cooker hood, model 251-14 EC, is ready internally wired and equipped with external cables
with special plugs for respectively mains supply 230V and control signal to the ventilation unit (0-10VDC).
When mounting the cooker hood underneath the ventilation unit the special plugs on the cooker hood are
connected to the corresponding plugs on the ventilation unit (
fig. 6).
For remote installation of the cooker hood, use fixed wiring by means of 2 pcs PFXPplastic cable 3x1,5 mm2
+ earth or equal.

On the side of the cooker hood mount Ensto special plugs respectively type NAC31SH.W (3-pole) and
NAC41SH.W on the cables.

On the ventilation unit side mount Ensto special plugs NAC32SH.W and NAC42SH.W on the cables.
