3.2 The LED on the front panel
The status of the power supply is determined from the
button on the front panel:
Green LED:
Voltage is OK. The PC is on.
Orange LED:
Voltage is OK. PC screensaver is on.
Red LED:
No voltage.
3.3 Touch Screen
The Touch-Screen allows the user to interact with the
application program by emulating the left and right
mouse buttons. The driver supplied for Windows 98-
2000-XP allows the right button to be emulated by
pressing an icon on the lower right part of the screen
beforehand. A "virtual keyboard" is provided for Windows
for data to be entered.
Removable adhesive films can be provided to be applied
on the front panel for applications in dusty environments
so as to prevent scratching the touch-screen surface.
Clean the touch-screen with a non-abrasive cloth.
The touch-screen is calibrated and the advanced
functions are set by means of the Touch-Screen V7.2
PS2 application. The echo of the buzzer after the glass
is pressed can be enabled or disabled. The right button
can be enabled and the drag-n-drop can be controlled.
The touch-down alone can be used as an indication that
the glass has been pressed.
Figure 3.3.1
It is advisable to perform calibration if pressing your
finger against the glass of the screen does not coincide
with the position of the cursor of the mouse.
Calibration is performed via the "Calibration" button
and then pressing the 4 points indicated on the screen.
It is recommended to perform the "4 points, mode 2"
calibration, using a pencil for greater precision.
3.4 Display
The advanced management of the power supply of the
Windows screensaver normally includes the automatic
shutdown function of the display lamp after a period
of inactivity. This function allows the life of the display
lamp to be enhanced. The display shutdown timeout is
modified by setting the screen as shown in the figure
below.
Figure 3.4.1
The display lamp is CCFT, with a typical brightness of 350
nits and 50,000 life hours (the latter are defined as the
time after which the brightness is reduced by half).
The display has a resolution of 1024×768 with viewing
angles of +60°/-60° horizontally and +50°/-50°
vertically.
Maximum frame rate is 75Hz.
3.5 Batteries
The COPILOT 15" is supplied with a 24 V SLA battery
pack to compensate for any voltage dips or temporary
drops in the supply.
The integrated UPS allows the power supply source and
battery charge to be managed automatically.
The LED on the front panel indicates the status of the
power supply:
Green LED:
Voltage is OK. The PC is on.
Orange LED:
Voltage is OK. PC screensaver is on.
Red LED:
No voltage.
The UPS can be managed directly from the Windows
control panel and is compatible with Simple Signaling
UPS.
The UPS is connected to the internal COM3: 3E8 -
IRQ10.
