INSTALLATION GUIDELINES:
Install the unit in a well-ventilated location where it will not be exposed to high temperatures or humidity.
Placing and using the unit for long periods near heat-generating sources such as amplifiers, spotlights, etc.
will affect its performance and may even damage the unit.
The unit can be mounted in 19-inch racks. Attach the unit using the 4 screw holes on the front panel. Be
sure to use screws of the appropriate size. (screws not provided) Take care to minimize shocks and
vibrations during transport.
When installed in a booth or flight case, please make sure to have good ventilation to improve heat
evacuation of the unit.
To avoid condensation to be formed inside, allow the unit to adapt to the surrounding temperatures when
bringing it into a warm room after transport. Condense sometimes prevents the unit from working at full
performance.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE:
Clean by wiping with a polished cloth slightly dipped with water. Avoid getting water inside the unit. Do not
use volatile liquids such as benzene or thinner which will damage the unit.
CONNECTIONS
Except for microphones, headphone and outputs, all connections are cinch. Use good quality cables to
prevent bad audio quality. For more information on connections, please refer to the next chapter.
Be sure to turn off the mixer before you make changes to the different connections.
In this manual we talk about “line inputs”. This is a global name for inputs with a level between 750mV and
2V. This includes tuners, videos, CD-players, etc.
FUNCTIONS (FRONT)
1. Microphone input for MIC1:
This is a balanced Combo (XLR+JACK) connector without phantom power
provision, hence only suitable for dynamic microphones. A second MIC1 input can be found on the
backside. Please note that MIC2 can only be connected from the rear panel connector (45).
2. Microphone Equalizer:
3-Band tone controls for both microphone inputs with an adjustment range of
±12dB. Please note the setting will affect both microphones inputs simultaneously.
3. Level control for microphone inputs:
used to adjust the levels for MIC1 and MIC2 individually.
4. MIC. ON/OFF switch:
Used to switch MIC1 and MIC2 individually on/off.
5. Talkover on/off switch:
enables/disables the talkover circuit for both microphones. Each of the output
zones, including the master have their own talkover settings on the back panel (see 29 + 34).
6. AUX Input for INPUT1:
This is a 3.5mm Mini-JACK stereo socket to easily connect audio sources like
MP3 players etc. without removing the mixer from its mounting position.
7. Enable/Disable switch for AUX Input (6):
Pressing this switch disables the LINE1 input on the rear
panel, instead the signal from the AUX input (6) will be sent to channel1.
8. Gain control of input channels:
adjustments the input sensitivity to compensate for different source
volumes. To assist proper setting of input levels, all 6 channels have an additional signal/peak LED (9) .
9. Signal/Peak LED:
This LED turns green when an input signal level over -30dB is present. It turns
orange-red once the input signal reaches 0dB. This makes it easier to see which channels have a signal
