WITCH
A soft power switch that enables power to the appliance when the power cords are at-
tached to the power supply units and connected to a valid power source. Standby power is always on as
long as a power source is connected to the power supply units. The state of the appliance’s power switch
(on or off ) is retained when the appliance’s power source is removed. This may necessitate pressing the
power switch when reapplying power to the appliance.

DENTIFICATION
(ID) LED Lights up, when triggered by the appliance software, to help locate the appli-
ance when it is rack-mounted.

ORTS
(2:0, 2:1, 2:2, 2:3) Four 100/1000/10G BASE-T (RJ-45) copper ports with bypass. The LAN
ports connect the appliance to the monitored network and to other appliances. Each LAN port includes
two LEDs that exhibit the following behavior.
Solid amber The power supply has shut down due to one of the following critical events:

Over or under voltage or current
•
Fan fault
•
Over temperature
Blinks amber The power supply continues to operate but has encountered one of the fol-
lowing warning events:
•
Over or under voltage or current
•
Fan speed low
•
Over temperature
•
The appliance’s specified operating environmental limits have been
exceeded
