For a more thorough cleaning of the electronic sensor,
we advise you to use a glass of white vinegar, or a
mixture of water (70%) and descaler (30%), to be
found in supermarkets or any specialized shop. Never
use plain, undiluted descaling products! You could
chemically damage the sensor’s surface! Leave the
product or the vinegar to act on the sensor for at least
2 hours (Fig. 32).
Fasten the sensor back onto the machine, by turning
clockwise.
Tighten without forcing.
Important! The first time the machine is to be used
following this operation, remember to discharge a
little steam onto a dirty cloth. Repeat this several
times, in order to empty the steam circuit of all
descaling product.
The machine is now ready for use once again!
Important!
Before fastening the sensor, the brass
element functioning as contact with the metallic part
of the sensor must be cleaned (fig.A).
To efficaciously clean the component, we
recommend use of an antioxidant spray solution,
contributing to protection of the contact, also against
wear-and-tear.

mum of 14 gauge, 3 wire, grounded, SJ quality, 60 degree C.
THIS UNIT MUST BE GROUNDED
If the unit should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least
resistance of electrical. Current to reduce the risk of electrical shock. The uniti
s equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding conductor and groun-
ding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly
grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinaces.
WARNING – Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can

with a normal 110/120 volt circuit, and has a grounded plu that looks like the
Plug illustrated in sketch (A). A temporary adaptor that looks like the one illustra-
ted in stretch (B) or (C) May be used to connect the plug to a 2 pole receptable
as shown in stretch (B) if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The tempo-
rary adapter should only be used until a properly grounded outlet sketch (A) can
be installed by a qualified electrician. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be
held in place by a metal screw.
