• Only voltage-free, when the plug is unplugged!
• Do not use the product if it is damaged (e.g. casing, mains cable, mains
switch). There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
In this case, dispose of the product in an environmentally correct manner.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (leaking smoke or a smell
of burning, audible cracking noises, discolouration to the product or the
adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Only use the product in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before cleaning the power
strip or when the device will not be in use for a while.
• Never pour any liquids above or next to the product. You run the risk of caus-
ing a
fi
re or a fatal electric shock. If any liquid has still managed to enter the
device, immediately turn off the power supply to the mains socket at which
the power strip is connected (turn off the fuse / circuit breaker / residual
current operated circuit breaker of the associated circuit). Only then can you
unplug the power strip's mains plug from the mains socket and contact a
specialist. Do not use the product anymore.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the em-
ployer’s liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating
facilities are to be observed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please con-
tact our technical service or another specialist.
Getting Started, Use
Follow the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
• Plug the power strip's earthed mains plug into a standard earthed mains socket
(wall socket).
• Place the power strip in a suitable location. Protect valuable surfaces by using a suit-
able mat to prevent scratches.
• Connect the loads to the power strip's sockets.
• Using the mains switch on the power strip, you can turn the connected loads on or
off.
When switched on, a green indicator light lights up in the switch.
The switch also includes an orange indicator light for the surge protection. If it is
fl
ashing, the surge protection has been triggered. The power strip can continue in
use, but the surge protection is no longer available.
• The two USB ports on the top of the power strip are intended for supplying power to
appropriate equipment, e.g. for charging an MP3 player, etc.
The output current of 1 A is the total current for both USB ports and it is split
between the two ports (e.g. port 1 = 700 mA, port 2 = 300 mA) depending on the
devices connected.
The USB ports are only intended for supplying voltage/power to appropriate equip-
ment, not for data transmission.
When you turn off the power strip, the power supplied via the USB ports will also be
deactivated automatically.
• In case of excess temperature, an integrated temperature circuit-breaker discon-
nects the power strip. The power strip can be used again after it has cooled down
suf
fi
ciently (self-resetting temperature circuit-breaker).
Maintenance and Cleaning
• The product does not require maintenance. The product contains no parts that re-
quire servicing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it. Maintenance or repairs may only
be performed by quali
fi
ed personnel or a specialised repair shop.
• Disconnect the power strip from the mains voltage before cleaning. Unplug the
earthed mains plug from the mains socket (wall socket). Also unplug all connected
loads from the power strip.
• Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
• Dust can be removed easily using a clean, soft and long-bristled brush and a vacuum
cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
