Note

If the pencil is quite short, it may become trapped behind 
the safety shutter. If this occurs, slide the reverse switch 
upward. The safety shutter will open and the pencil stub 
will be reversed out of the machine (Fig.3). Please do not 
attempt to sharpen pencils less than 50mm long as they 
will become trapped.

Sharpening coloured pencils can cause a waxy deposit 
to build up on the blade. We recommend alternating 
between coloured and graphite pencils as graphite,
a natural lubricant, will help to keep the blade clean.

Replacement Blades

As with all sharpeners, frequent use will eventually blunt the sharpener blade.

Please be aware that Pastel pencils are very abrasive and will cause the blade to wear 
more rapidly than other types of pencil.

The automatic pencil feed mechanism is subject to wear. For a service kit comprising a 
replacement blade assembly and a pencil feed mechanism, please contact your supplier

Broken tip removal

If a pencil point breaks off  inside the sharpener, fi rst press the broken tip remover
button on the back of the sharpener (Fig.4), then invert the machine and press the 
safety switch to open the safety shutter (Fig.5).
