Charging the batteries
Before the handset is used for the first time, insert it in the base station/
charging station for at least 16 hours. When the handset is inserted in the
base station/charging station properly, you will hear a confirmation signal.
The handset warms up during the charging process. This is normal and
does not represent a risk. Do not charge the handset with charging units
from other manufacturers.
The current
battery charge status
is indicated in the display:
Full
Half empty
Weak
Empty
Setting the language
The information on Page 97 explains how to set the display language
when putting it into operation for the first time.
Setting the time and date on the handset
The time and date are set via the menu. Refer to Page 97 for the se-
quence of option selections.
Private branch exchanges
The information on Page 95 explains how to install your telephone in a pri-
vate branch exchange.
Setting the weekday and time on the answering machine
The weekday and time are set automatically on the answering machine
via the handset.
