E-mail notifications
Your phone will tell you when new e-mail
messages have arrived for you in the
incoming e-mail server.
It connects periodically (approx. every
15 mins) with the e-mail server and
checks whether new messages have
arrived.
New e-mail messages are signalled on all
registered handsets by an advisory tone
and a flashing message key

Preconditions:

You have set up an e-mail account with
your Internet provider.

The incoming e-mail server uses the
POP3 protocol.

You have stored the name of the
incoming e-mail server and your per-
sonal access data (account name, pass-
word) in the phone.

The phone establishes a connection to the
incoming e-mail server. The list of e-mail
messages stored there is displayed.
The sender's name or e-mail address (one
line, abbreviated if necessary) is displayed
for each e-mail along with the date and
time.
