How to use the iSteam®
Warning
The first burst of steam contains hot water.
6.3.1
Typical Preparation
1.
PURGE the wand before use by pressing the Latte key (or heating button) on the steam
wand, allow steam wand to release condensation. Shut-off by pressing the button again.
2.
SELECT - Fill a steaming pitcher with desired quantity of milk. Insert pitcher under steam
wand. Set pitcher on drain tray for hands free steaming. Press the button of the product
(Cappuccino or Latte) you wish to make.
3.
WAIT for the steam to automatically shut-off and then prepare the drink as you wish.
4.
WIPE steam wand clean, using damp towel.
5.
PURGE wand after each use, by pressing the Latte key and allowing steam to escape for a
few seconds.
Note
It is possible to set up the system so that the software will auto-
matically request that the wand be purged by the operator. This
Purge alert can be activated in the iSteam programming by a
technician.

Override
If necessary, you may extend the steaming time by pressing and holding the button of the product
you are producing, for as long as required. You can use this override feature to re-heat milk, or
perhaps your customer desires an extremely hot milk drink.
Note
For safety, the wand will not steam milk that is hotter than 90°C (194°F).
6.3.3
Stop Steaming Anytime
It is possible to interrupt the steaming cycle simply by pressing on the button of the drink being
prepared.
