5. Maintenance
• You should regularly check the water supply system in order to prevent air getting into
the system which can reduce the water flow, as it will reduce the performance and
stability of the heat pump.
• Clean the pool/hot tub and filter system on a regular basis in order to avoid damage to
the device resulting from a dirty and clogged filter.
• You must empty the water from the heat exchanger if the heat pump is taken out of
operation for a longer period of time, and especially during the winter season.
• When the heat pump is being prepared for winter storage it is recommended to cover
the heat pump to or keep it indoors where it will be protected from frost.
• At startup, make sure that the system is fully filled with water before the unit is switched
on.
• In normal operation, the air being sucked in will be cooled and water can/will condense
on the ribs of the evaporator and run out of the base of the unit. It is quite normal that
there will be condensation from the heat pump. It is not a leak or a fault with the device.
High humidity can lead to several litres of water being condensed per day.
• The refilling of gas must be performed by a professional with an R32 operating license.
