6-MONTHLY MAINTENANCE
- Remove the plug from the mains power outlet.
- Wait 5 minutes, until the fans have had time to stop and the
electric heater has time to cool down.
- Open the door of the ventilation unit by turning the knob anti-
clockwise.
- Remove the wide-mesh filters (above the heat exchanger,
see illustration). Wipe them with a damp cloth or vacuum clean
them.
- Remove the fine filter (below the heat exchanger) and carefully
vacuum clean it.
- Clean the surfaces on the inside of the ventilation unit, for
example by vacuum cleaning or wiping with a damp cloth.
- Pour water in the bottom of the ventilation unit and check
to make sure that the water runs out of the unit through the
condensate drain.
- Refit the filters to their proper locations.
- Close the door and secure it by turning the knob clockwise until
the door is closed tightly.
- Insert the power plug into the mains power outlet.
12-MONTHLY MAINTENANCE
To replace the filters
- Remove the plug from the mains power outlet.
- Wait 5 minutes, until the fans have had time to stop and the
electric heater has time to cool down.
- Open the door of the ventilation unit as described above.
- Remove the old filters and replace them with new ones.
- Clean the heat exchanger as described in the two instructions
above.
- Remove the photocell sensor, if one is installed, by withdrawing
it between the heat exchanger plates.
- Remove heat exchanger element and flush it with running water
or wash it with dishwashing detergent. Let the heat exchanger
element dry.
- Refit the heat exchanger with the arrow pointing upwards.
- Refit the photocell sensor, if one is used.
- Close the door and carefully tighten the fixing screws.
- Insert the power plug into the mains power outlet.
New filters can be purchased from Swegon’s authorized dealers.
