Network Key
For 64 bit, you have to fill in 10 characters, and for 128 bit, you have to fill in 26 characters. Random numbers from 0 up to and including 9 and
letters from A up to and including F can be used. The selected combination forms the “Network Key”.
Set the “Authentication Mode ” to “Shared Key” or “Open”. Set the “Encryption Mode” to “WEP”.
For “Key Index” select the number “1” and then set the "Key Length" to 64 bit or 128 bit.
Fill in the selected “Network Key” and then repeat this for “Confirm Network Key”. Then press “OK”.
Wireless network configuration with Windows XP utility
If the wireless network is configured with Windows XP configuration software (XP Zero Configuration), remove the check mark from: "the key is
provided for me automatically”. Select “WEP” under “Data Encryption”. Enter the network key (encryption code) that matches the code in the router.

Installation of WPA
Before the wireless LAN product encryption codes are configured, the new encryption codes must be set in the router first. If the router already has
encryption codes, these codes can be filled in for the new wireless product.
Double click on the “IEEE 802.11g Wireless LAN Utility” shortcut on the desktop. This shortcut can also be found by pressing “Start” and then
Programs before selecting “IEEE 802.11g Wireless LAN Utility”. Next, click on “IEEE 802.11g Wireless LAN Utility”. The following screen appears:
Check “Security Enabled” and click on “Config”.
