1. Theoretical operation
The DCM-1070 series multi-frequency down-converter, transform the
received signal within the down-converter band, 10.2 to 10.6GHz to a
70MHz Intermediate frequency
These down-converters are weatherproof, suitable for outdoor work. They
are installed next to the receiving parabolic antenna. The equipment is
watertight and resistant to corrosive and marine environments.
This is a multi-frequency equipment with 15 programmable channels. The
following table shows the default frequency configuration for the DCM-
1070.

Input frequency can be set manually, using the channel selector in the DCM
down-converter (selecting one of the 15 frequencies previously
programmed) or remotely from VR-70 demodulator and repeater (sending
data to configure the DCM down-converter through the data channel, IF
coaxial cable).
To configure the reception frequency from the VR-70 demodulator’s SETUP
CONFIGURATION menu, the channel selector of the down-converter has to
be in 0 position.
Thanks to the data channel between the up-converter the VR-70
demodulator and repeater, several parameters of the DCM down-converter,
