1) Turn on the adaptive cruise control sys-

tem by pushing “CRUISE” switch (2).

When the cruise indicator (7), following

distance indicator (6) and vehicle

ahead detecting indicator (9) appear on

the information display, you can set

cruising speed.

2) Accelerate or decelerate to the desired

speed.

3) Push “SET –” switch (5), “SET” indica-

tor (8) and set speed indication (10)

appear on the information display.

Take your foot off the accelerator pedal

and the set speed will be maintained. At

this time, vehicle ahead detecting indi-

cator (9) will vary as follows, depending

on the presence or absence of the vehi-

cle ahead.
