TIRE PRESSURE
Insufficient air pressure in the
tires not only hastens tire wear
but also seriously affects the sta-
bility of the motorcycle. Under
inflated tires make smooth corner-
ing difficult and overinflated tires
decrease the amount of tire in
contact with the ground which can
lead to skids and loss of control.
Be sure that the tire pressure is
within the specified limits at all
times. Tire pressure should only
be adjusted when the tires are
cold.

WARNING
Failure to perform break-in of
the tires could cause tire slip
and loss of control, which
could result in an accident.
Use extra care when riding on
new tires. Perform proper
break-in of the tires referring to
the BREAK-IN section of this
manual and avoid hard acceler-
ation, hard cornering, and hard
braking for the first 100 miles
(160 km).
