Step  3:  Fully tighten all four T

-

Knobs by hand (Fig. 3)

 

• 

Switch between the T

-

Knobs during tightening 

so that each bolt protrudes from the knob by the 
same amount

 

• 

If the bolts protrude too far such that they may 
damage the vehicle roof when the crossbar 
flexes, change to the shorter bolts.

 

The T

-

Knobs must fully engage each of the four bolts.  Check to make sure each bolt sticks through 

the nuts in the T

-

Knobs.  If they do not, switch to the longer 75mm bolts (supplied).  If these are still 

too short, contact Suspenz for 100mm bolts.

After fully tightening the T

-

Knobs, try sliding and twisting the  V

-

Rack Carrier on the crossbar.  If 

the V

-

Rack Carrier moves or twists  retighten the T

-

Knobs to eliminate this play.

 

Step  4:  Repeat steps 1

-

3 for the second V

-

Rack with 

the non

-

rotating static pads (no yellow collars) that 

mounts to the front crossbar.

 

• 

Mount the Suspenz V

-

Rack Carriers so they are 

aligned along the length of the vehicle (fig. 4)

The V

-

Racks must not extend beyond the width of the vehicle.

 

Remove the V

-

Racks when not being used.

 

• 

Loosen all four T

-

Knobs.

 

• 

Remove two of the T

-

Knobs from one side of V

-

Rack and rotate the brackets to free the rack..

 

• 

Reattach washers and T

-

Knobs so they do not get lost.

 

Always remove the V

-

Racks  before going through a carwash.
