Using a non-permanent marker, mark the location of
the H-bracket on the front frame

White lines indicate where marking on an object
with a permanent or non-permanent marking method
is required.

Using a non-permanent marker, mark the location of
the locking plate on the top rail of the boat
(Fig.15)

7.
Use two Phillips screwdrivers, one to hold the barrel nut
in place
(Fig.16A)
and the other screwdriver to remove the
barrel bolt
(Fig.16B)
.

8.
Remove the H-bracket from the front sport arm and
place it at the marked location on the front frame.
9.
Using an electric or cordless drill or screw gun and a
3/8
”
hex drive socket, attach the H-bracket with the
1/4
” - 14 x
3/4
” hex washer head self-drilling screw
(Fig.17A)
through the
center hole of the H-bracket.

Insert the front sport arm into the H-bracket and align
the bracket holes with the front sport arm holes.
11.
Use two Phillips screwdrivers, one to hold the barrel
nut in place and the other screwdriver to tighten the pivot
screw. See figure 16.
NOTE:
The locking plate in the following step
MUST
be installed with the slide lock facing the front (bow) of
the boat.
