Connecting and Disconnecting to Gas Cylinder
WARNING !
- BEFORE CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING BARBECUE TO GAS
CYLINDER, ENSURE ALL CONTROLS ARE IN THE OFF POSITION.
FOR STORAGE AND CYLINDER EXCHANGE, DISCONNECT HOSE AT THE CYLINDER
ONLY, DO NOT DISCONNECT HOSE FROM APPLIANCE
Check
1. Gas cylinder is full.
2. Each end of the burner inlet tube is properly located over each valve outlet.
3. The burner controls are in the
OFF
position
Connecting
1. Check cylinder valve features to ensure it has proper mating threads to those of the
regulator.
2. Ensure all burner controls are in the
OFF
position.
3. Inspect the valve connections, port and regulator assembly. Look for any damage or
debris. Remove any debris. Inspect hose for damage, never attempt to use barbecue with
any damaged part.
4. When connecting regulator assembly to the cylinder valve, tighten nut to a positive stop
by hand or spanner depending on type of fitting.
5. Open cylinder valve fully. Use a soap and water solution to check all connections for
leaks before attempting to light barbecue. If a leak occurs, turn cylinder valve
OFF
and do
not use barbecue until repairs are made.
Disconnecting
1. Ensure all burners are in the
OFF
position.
2. Ensure gas cylinder valve is in the fully
OFF
position (clockwise)
3. Detach the regulator assembly from the gas cylinder valve.
