BMC Network Configuration
Set this feature to configure the IPMI LAN adapter with a network address.
Update IPMI LAN Configuration
This feature allows the user to decide if the BIOS should configure the IPMI setting
at next system boot. The options are
No
and Yes. If the option is set to Yes, the
user is allowed to configure the IPMI settings at next system boot.
Configuration Source
This feature selects whether the IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway Address are
automatically assigned by the network's DHCP server (Dynamic Host and Configura
-
tion Protocol) "Dynamic" or manually entered by the user "Static". When Dynamic
is selected, all the options below are automatically assigned to the system by itself
or by an external DHCP server. If Static is selected, the IP Address, Subnet Mask
and Gateway Address must be manually entered below. The options are Static,
Dynamic, and
Do Nothing
.
Current IP Address
- Enter the IP address for this machine. This should be in
decimal and in dotted quad form (i.e., 192.168.10.253). The value of each three-
digit number separated by dots should not exceed 255.
Current Subnet Mask
- Subnet masks tell the network which subnet this ma-
chine belongs to. The value of each three-digit number separated by dots should
not exceed 255.
Current MAC Address
- MAC addresses are 6 two-digit hexadecimal numbers
(Base 16, 0 ~ 9, A, B, C, D, E, F) separated by dots (i.e., 00.30.48.D0.D4.60).
Current Gateway IP Address
- Enter the Gateway or Router address (i.e.,
192.168.10.1).
