IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave, IDE Channel 1 Master/Slave, SATA
Port2 and SATA Port3
These settings allow the user to set the parameters of IDE Channel 0 Master/
Slave, IDE Channel 1 Master/Slave, IDE Channel 2 Master, IDE Channel 3
Master slots. Hit <Enter> to activate the following sub-menu screen for detailed
options of these items. Set the correct confi gurations accordingly. The items
included in the sub-menu are:
Type
This option allows the user to select the type of IDE hard drive. The option
Auto
will allow the BIOS to automatically confi gure the parameters of the HDD installed
at the connection. Select User to allow the user to enter the parameters of the
HDD installed. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive is installed. Select ATAPI if a
removable disk drive is installed.
Multi-Sector Transfers
This item allows the user to specify the number of sectors per block to be
used in multi-sector transfer. The options are
Disabled
, 4 Sectors, 8 Sectors,
and 16 Sectors.
LBA Mode Control
This item determines whether the Phoenix BIOS will access the IDE Channel 0
Master Device via the LBA mode. The options are Enabled and
Disabled.
32 Bit I/O
This option allows the user to enable or disable the function of 32-bit data transfer.
The options are Enabled and
Disabled
.
Transfer Mode
This option allows the user to set the transfer mode. The options are
Standard
,
Fast PIO1, Fast PIO2, Fast PIO3, Fast PIO4, FPIO3/DMA1 and FPIO4/DMA2.
Ultra DMA Mode
This option allows the user to select Ultra DMA Mode. The options are
Disabled
,
Mode 0, Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3, Mode 4, and Mode 5.
Parallel ATA
This setting allows the user to enable or disable the function of Parallel ATA. The
options are Disabled,
Channel 0
, Channel 1, and Both.
Serial ATA
This setting allows the user to enable or disable the function of the Serial ATA.
The options are Disabled and
Enabled.
