Preface

This manual is written for professional system integrators and PC technicians. It
provides information for the installation and use of the SC823 chassis. Installation
and maintenance should be performed by experienced technicians only.

Supermicro’s SC823 chassis is built on the foundation of the critically acclaimed

SC822 chassis series. With advanced airflow/thermal-control design, the SC823 is

optimized for the next generation platforms.

This document lists compatible parts and configurations available when this docu

ment was published. Always refer to our Web site for updates on supported parts

and configurations.

Note

: There are SC823 legacy models other than the one described in this manual,

that are no longer available. A separate legacy manual describes them.
