Fan Headers
Your motherboard has five fan head-
ers (CPU_FAN1/FAN2, SYS_FAN1/FAN2/
FAN3). These are 4-pin fan headers. Al
-
though pins 1-3 of SYS_FAN1/FAN2/FAN3
are backwards compatible with the tradi-
tional 3-pin DC fans, we recommend the
use of 4-pin PWM fans to take advantage
of the fan speed control. This allows the
fan speeds to be automatically adjusted
based on the motherboard temperature.
Refer to the table on the right for pin
definitions.
Chassis Intrusion
A Chassis Intrusion header is located at
JL1 on the motherboard. Attach the ap-
propriate cable from the chassis to the
header to inform you of when the chassis
is opened.
