Chapter 1

Introduction

1-1 Overview

The AS4040C-TR/4040C-8R is a high-end quad processor server that is comprised

of two main subsystems: the SC748TQ-R1000/SC748S-R1000 1U server chassis

and the H8QCE/H8QC8 serverboard. Please refer to our web site for information

on operating systems that have been certiﬁ ed for use with the 4040C-TR/4040C-

8R.

In addition to the serverboard and chassis, various hardware components have

been included with the 4040C-TR/4040C-8R:
