6-8 Power Supply
The 4042G-72RF4 server has two 1400 W redundant power supplies. They are
auto-switching so they automatically sense and operate at a 100v to 240v input
voltage. An amber light is illuminated on the power supply when the power is off.
An green light indicates that the power supply is operating.
Power Supply Failure
In redundant power supply models, the system automatically switches to the second
power supply if the first fails.
Replacing the Power Supply
1. From the power supply to be replaced, unplug the power cord. The server
does not need to be powered down.
2. Push the release button on the front of the power supply.
3. Pull the power supply out using the handle provided.
4. Replace the failed power module with the same model.
5. Push the new power supply module into the power bay until you hear a click.
6. Plug the AC power cord back into the module.
